Department of prosthodontic
The Department of Prosthodontics of the School of Dentistry of MNUMS was founded in 1995 and since that time more than 1800 undergraduate students, and 400 residents in Prosthodontics, 10 Ph.D. students and 40 master degree students have been graduated.
The Department of Prosthodontics main research areas include studies on the etiology, pathogenesis, classification, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and maxillofacial tissues in association with environmental, cultural and nutritional factors in population of Mongolia. Our current research activities include studies on dental materials, mandibular biomechanics, and oral health of geriatric population.
